HOLOGATE has surpassed 100 team members after roughly doubling its team within the past year. Today, the team brings together people from 30 different nationalities, and the company is still hiring.
As Europe’s largest turnkey XR systems provider by size, the milestone is more than a number. It reflects HOLOGATE’s growing capacity to develop, adapt, deliver, and support immersive systems for customers across professional training, simulation, and operational use.
The growth is happening across the areas that define this next phase: development, engineering, product, hardware, software, project delivery, customer support, and sales.
HOLOGATE has spent more than a decade building XR systems for real-world environments. Today, the company is applying that experience to one of the most demanding areas of immersive technology: professional XR training and simulation. With HGXR, HOLOGATE develops immersive training solutions for police, military, security organizations, and industry. These customers do not need generic XR. They need systems that reflect their procedures, environments, equipment, workflows, and training goals.
HOLOGATE was able to gain traction quickly in professional training because it did not enter the market from an experimental starting point. The company brought years of XR product, platform, content, and operational experience with it, including the ability to deliver and support immersive systems at scale.
Part of that experience comes from HOLOGATE’s background in location-based entertainment, where the company built one of the world’s largest VR networks across more than 50 countries and reached more than 28 million people worldwide. This gave HOLOGATE years of practical experience in delivering immersive systems that are installed, operated, used, and maintained.
“HOLOGATE has always been built by people who turn ambitious ideas into working systems,” says Leif Petersen, CEO & Founder at HOLOGATE. “Passing 100 team members is an important milestone, but the real point is what it allows us to do: scale our technology, our projects, and our customer support for the next phase of XR adoption.”
A key part of this next phase is HOLOGATE’s in-house development capacity. The company has built a large team that can respond flexibly to customer requirements, adapt systems for specific operational needs, and move quickly from concept to implementation.
HOLOGATE is also focusing on AI-powered development, using AI both in development and in client-facing tools and expanding training content. The company is also moving further into specialized hardware. AgiS, HOLOGATE’s modular training replica platform, is one example of this approach. It shows how HOLOGATE continues to create pioneering components for real training requirements, building technology around client needs rather than relying on solutions already available on the market.
This is the broader story behind the 100+ milestone: HOLOGATE is growing across every layer needed to deliver professional XR — from software and simulation to AI-powered development, specialized hardware, project delivery, support, and long-term customer collaboration. As XR becomes more relevant in operational training and simulation, customers need partners who can do more than demonstrate what is possible. They need complete systems that can be developed, adapted, delivered, and scaled with them over time.
“VR training is no longer only about possibility,” says Robert Fankhänel, COO at HOLOGATE. “It is about delivery. It is about systems that can be developed, adapted, and scaled with clients. That is where our growth is focused.”
More than 100 people are now part of the HOLOGATE team. And the company is still growing.
